KAJET Journal was called “probably one of the best critical theory journals from what’s called ‘Eastern Europe’” by Croatian philosopher and activist Srećko Horvat. My contribution, Don’t Call This “Unsalted Writing”: The Case for Reading Romanian Recipe Notebooks, was inspired by a loose page from my grandmother's recipe notebook and it's based on my graduate research at the University of Amsterdam and my experience working as a private party sous chef in a fine dining restaurant in Washington DC.
